This is my story
I write it
I choose the heroes
I choose what happens
Today, I start a new chapter
A happier chapter
Full of love, laughter, and peace
I turn the page on the last chapter
It’s done
Finished
Gone
The old voices who put me down are silenced
The hands that choked me are bound
The fear that kept me still is gone
I choose a happier chapter where I am the hero
I choose to believe in me
To see myself how others see me
How my Father sees me
Beautiful
I will no longer read the last chapter
I will no longer wish for what cannot be
And I will not worry about the later chapters
Or how it will end
I will write this one
I will live this one
It will be good
And it will be mine.
